The butterfly gently kisses
the lovely faces
hidden among the tall grasses.
From the well of nectar,
drinking deeply, too,
Of the sweetness from the lips
dripping with morning dew.
Wildflowers! Wildflowers everywhere!
So many colors blazing
here and there,
kissed by butterflies
and summer showers.
Wonder of wonders -lavish
Wildflowers!
Untouched by human hands
in wild abandonment,
their beauty unsurpassed,
and in humbleness bent.
These jewels are strewn
across the meadows
leaving trails of glory
in many colors.
Colors surely from
the artist's pallet spill
across the valleys
and over each hill.
Breaths of sweetness
fill the air,
wreaths of beauty,
all dainty and fair.
Cared for and nourished
by God's Hand.
These wonders of delight
withstand
the worst of Nature's storms
and the brightest of
sunny morns.
Oh, wild abandonment,
may you ever grace
This world with your presence
in every place.
Wildflowers! Wildflowers everywhere!
Colors blazing
here and there.
Kissed By Butterflies
and summer showers,
wonder of wonders -
lavish Wildflowers!
