Our Garden of Paradise

In our Garden of Paradise
I knelt beside a bed of roses.
Red roses, they were and oh, so wise!
For they knew the secret of our love.
So often I come here
Too often perhaps but my desire
Is too great to bear and I fear
My love for you might be seen.
Tonight I met you in our garden.
No words can tell of my joy
Of your embrace, the touch of your lips.
As we kissed, I felt my life slipping away.
I knelt at your feet.
You sat down beside me and held me
You said, "Please don't leave me."
But you must be free of me
To love someone else
My last words I whispered to you
"Our love cannot be, love your own as
You once loved me."

Can Time??

Can time heal all wounds?
Can time remove the obstacles that appear along the way?
Can time bring beauty to cover the ugliness of life?
Can time take away the pain of today?
Can time restore the happiness that faded away?
Can time replace the sorrow with joy?
Can time find the love lost along the way?

Tears of sadness fill my eyes,
They shimmer down my cheeks like raindrops.
Loneliness calls, I hear the moan.
Go away, go away, please go away!
It's joy I crave today.

Cry and no one sees
Sob and no one hears.
Feel the tears fall down the wrinkles left by age
Taste the salty water as it falls slowly down your face
Now, ask yourself
Can all of this Time Erase?

For You

There is a hurt inside of me
I feel like driftwood on a restless sea.
I am anxious to flee from this place
But I know that wherever I go
I shall always see your face.

You are with me all day
You invade my dreams at night
I fight the hopeless pain of fright
That my love for you is much in vain
I fear that you may never feel the same.

So as I am drifting upon this sea
I pray that my undying love you will see
So strong that you will know it to be true
And meant for one and only - you.
